Everything is offered year round, like snorkeling, scuba diving, and boating, but is at reduced rates during the off season. Many stores offer summer sales to clear out their merchandise. You will be able to eat at most restaurants without a reservation. However, there are some disadvantages to traveling during the off season. Hurricane season is also a consideration for most people. It runs from June first to November thirtieth. With accurate weather forecasting, there is not much need to worry about a hurricane and many safeguards are in place to keep visitors safe from any possible hurricanes during your vacation.
July through September is the time of year that you will find the cheapest flights to and from Jamaica. Visitors are afraid of hurricane season and with it being summer, many don't consider going to a tropical destination until the cold winter sets in.
