Thinking of going to Thailand anytime soon? There are some amazing places which you definitely need to check out. Below I have included some information on these special places.

1)THE GRAND PALACE

This is one of the premiere attractions in Bangkok. It was built in 1792. The architecture alone is reason enough to go visit it. It’s been around for over 150 years and it’s a major tourist spot. I will caution you no one thing though. You have to dress appropriately when going to visit The Grand Palace. People have been known to be refused entrance because of how they were dressed. I know, I know it’s a vacation. Please dress accordingly though for this place. It will save you a lot of time and hassle.

2)PHANG NGA BAY

This body of water is one of the best ways to enjoy the sights of Thailand. The Phang NGA Bay offers the best of both worlds. You get to see gorgeous scenery, including the cliffs and some of the local islands. It also gives you a chance to see other tourists in action. You get to view all of this from the water. It’s also a much more exclusive alternative to the normal bus-boat tour that is usually advertised. The bus-boat tour can be cool; but, sometimes you want to experience something cooler.

3) SIMILAN ISLANDS

If you are coming by speedboat from the Phang Bay Islands, this place is only 90 minutes away. If you are coming more of the traditional slow route, the islands are about 8 hours away or more. The water is a crystal-clear blue. You get to see the tropical fish up close and personal. There is some really beautiful coral that is in and around the water and land.

For those who enjoy diving and other underwater activities, this is one of the best places to go. You get to see tremendous views from under the water. The water is clear and healthy. It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon. There is so much swimming which can be done.

4)FLOATING MARKETS

If you are into eating fresh foods, this is the place to go. All of this takes places on nearby boats. You can order fresh coconut juice. You can eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I am speaking of those rare tropical fruits, fruits which you can’t find anywhere else in the world. It’s all there, on moving boats.

If you really want to get the most out of the floating markets, try a boat tour. Take one of the many guided boat tours. They stop frequently at many of the well-known floating markets. Floating markets include the Taling Chan and Tha Ka. Will you have to haggle over the price? Depends in where you go to get the fresh food. The markets which were just mentioned are ones where you don’t have to haggle. These might be your best bet for which to start off with first.

5) RAILAY BEACH

It’s just south of the Ao Nang Beach. The Railay is one of the most popular beach areas to go to. Most of the college kids who venture down here tend to gravitate towards this one. Railay offers a special place to just chill out. You have white sandy beaches. The water is pristine and gorgeous. There are caves to go exploring in and around. The cliffs are wonderful. The views are some of the best in Thailand. You really can’t get any better than Railay Beach. This is a place where people just come to relax. There is not pressure here or deadlines. If you want to sit back and be lazy, go for it. The sky is the limit here at Railay.

6) THE TEMPLE OF DAWN

It was believed that King Taksin came to this temple after a night of fighting. This was known as the premiere temple for the locals to visit and stay. Another fascinating fact, the Emerald Buddha used to have a home here. This is definitely a must-see for any tourist.
